About The Event
Join us for a meaningful conversation with experienced clinicians and community advocates as we explore the unique challenges immigrants are facing today. This panel will offer insight, tools, and culturally responsive strategies to help therapists provide informed, compassionate care in the face of legal, emotional, and systemic uncertainty.
This panel brings together clinicians and community advocates to explore how we can best support our undocumented and immigrant clients at this time of great peril and uncertainty. Many of our clients, loved ones, and community members are facing the constant threat, or the devastating reality, of an apprehension by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Many, too, are coping with immense loss, grief, and trauma, persistent terror and anxiety, alongside racially discriminative narratives. This discussion will encompass a trauma-informed and a culturally-responsive, Latine/x lens with our panelists sharing their lived experiences, tools, and perspectives. This discussion is intended to help mental health…
